Q:\u00a0<\/span>No connection between handset and base.<\/p>\n

A:\u00a0<\/span>You may be out of range of the base. Move closer to the base.<\/p>\n

Q1:\u00a0<\/span>Handset on the base does not charge.<\/p>\n

A1:\u00a0<\/span>Make sure the handset is placed properly on the base. When charging, the battery symbol should be shown filling up.<\/p>\n

Q2:\u00a0<\/span>No tone when you press.<\/p>\n

A2:\u00a0<\/span>See general checks. Check for the handset number on the LCD display e.g. HS1.\u00a0 If this is not present you must register the handset (see Handset Registration section)<\/p>\n

Q3:\u00a0<\/span>A warning tone is heard during a call.<\/p>\n

A3:\u00a0<\/span>The batteries are empty.\u00a0 The handset needs to be replaced in the base in order to recharge. You are out of the base coverage area.<\/p>\n

Q4:\u00a0No number is displayed when the telephone rings.<\/p>\n

A4:\u00a0Please contact your telephone network provider to get the caller ID service. Even if you have subscribed to a caller ID service, if the caller does not want to show their number (private number), the display will show \u2018PRIVATE\u2019\/ \u00a0\u2018OUT OF AREA\u2019 might also be displayed if it is an international call. It could be a call from a PBX.\u00a0 Caller ID may not work properly if the telephone is connected to a PBX.<\/p>\n

Q5:\u00a0Consistently short battery life.<\/p>\n

A5:\u00a0Clean the charge contacts. Replace the batteries.<\/p>\n

Q6:\u00a0Nothing happens when you press any button.<\/p>\n

A6:\u00a0Check the the keylock is switched off.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
